Convert MOV to MP4 on Mac

How to convert a video to MP4

1. Click the Tiny Media icon in the Mac menu bar, or drag the file onto it.
2. Choose Convert.
3. Wait for Done, then Show in Finder.

You can also right-click a video in Finder and choose Convert to MP4 if the Tiny Media Finder extension is enabled in System Settings.

Formats Tiny Media converts

Supported video inputs are MOV, MP4, MKV, M4V, and WebM. Convert writes a new MP4. The original file is left alone. In Settings you pick whether the new file sits next to the original, goes to Downloads, or lands in a folder you choose.

Why not QuickTime or HandBrake?

QuickTime Player can export, but it is a player with an export sheet, not a drop target you keep in the menu bar. HandBrake is the right tool when you care about a specific encoder, crop, or subtitle burn-in. Tiny Media is the right tool when you want “make this an MP4” and then get back to work. It does not ask you for a codec, bitrate, or CRF.
